In Essex County: Helping to Prep Female Democratic Hopefuls for Political Office

Emerge New Jersey, a political training organization for Democratic females, has announced that it has selected 11 local women to participate in its second training class.

According to a release, the training classes are conducted to help alleviate the underrepresentation of women politicians in New Jersey.

According to a release, the training will include sessions ranging in topic from public speaking to campaign strategy and fundraising. The course also focuses on the fundamentals of campaigning, including fundraising, filing to run for office, understanding key constituency groups, and gaining endorsements.

The selected women are:

  • Allixon Collazos Gill of Montclair
  • Shante Palmer of Montclair
  • Dini Ajmani of Short Hills
  • Emily Manz of Newark
  • Nadia Moses of East Orange
  • Dorcas Adekunle of Long Branch
  • Cynthia Atkins of Roselle
  • Brenda Brathwaite of Absecon
  • Denalerie Johnson Faniel of Lawrenceville
  • Grace Strom Power of Princeton Junction
  • Jazmine Sandifer of Roselle
