ALBEMARLE COUNTY, VA (NEWSPLEX) — The Albemarle County Democratic Committee has issued a call to caucus to registered voters.
The caucus will select candidates running for Albemarle County offices in the 2015 election.
In order to be considered by the caucus, candidates had to file a Certificate of Candidacy by May 8.
Five people filed the certificate, including Ann Malek, Rick Randolph and Norman Dill who are running for seats on the county Board of Supervisors, Denise Lunsford who is seeking re-election as the Commonwealth’s Attorney, and Jon Zug who wants to be the Albemarle County Circuit Court Clerk.
The caucus will take place Monday night at the Albemarle County Office Building auditorium on McIntire Road.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and all registered democratic voters in Albemarle County are invited to participate.
The election takes place November 3.
